This autumn, CBS launches the new Graduate Diploma in Innovation Management (HD2), a new specialisation, which is intended to meet companies' growing need for innovation.

A shorter product life cycle, increasing demands of consumers and digital transformation have made innovation necessary in many companies. In addition, it is an activity, which helps ensure competitiveness and financial growth, explains Marion Poetz, Academic Coordinator for the Graduate Diploma in Innovation Management.

These are some of the reasons CBS has chosen to establish a new Graduate Diploma programme, which focuses completely on innovation - also in keeping with a ministerial wish for teaching in innovation across all levels of education.

The new Graduate Diploma in Innovation Management distincts itself from other diploma programmes by the fact that it is taught in English and that there is great focus on networking activities and bridging gaps between theory and practice.

- The fact that Innovation Management is taught in English opens up the possibility of having lecturers and guest speakers from many different international universities and innovative organisations. In addition, it ensures a more international composition of classes and lecturers, which is consistent with our focus on networking, says Marion Poetz.

In order to consider the needs of the students who live far away and those who work full-time, the programme consists of weekend workshops and online teaching. The other diploma programmes are taught in weekday evenings. By applying a different structure, Marion Poetz hopes that the programme will attract new groups of students.

- The programme addresses people across industries, but it is particularly interesting to specialists such as engineers and researchers, middle managers, top executives and consultants who wish to boost their career or current workplace by being able to create, facilitate and implement innovation, explains Marion Poetz.

Like the other diploma programmes, Innovation Management is a flexible part-time education, which is adjustable to the life of the individual, which means that you are able to take the courses as single courses.

CBS invites to information meetings on 15-17 November about all the diploma programmes that are taught at CBS.
