With extensive experience in investment, finance, management, board work and value creation in Danish and Scandinavian companies, managing partner at Axcel and chair of the board Christian Frigast will contribute to research and teaching with extraordinary insights. This is why he has been appointed as an adjunct professor at the Department of Accounting and Auditing at CBS. Developing subjects in a close dialogue between business and industry and research is essential, especially with regard to cross-disciplinary issues such as value creation, ownership strategies and governance, where experience and knowledge about investor committees, board rooms and executive management play an important role.

Frigast’s inaugural lecture will be on “Ownership and governance as a driver of earnings and long-term value” and will take place on Tuesday 13 September 2016 at CBS, Porcelænshaven 22, Frederiksberg from 17:00 to 18:20, followed by a reception. Frigast, who is chair of the board at, for example, EKF, will talk about the importance of active ownership and ownership strategy, the company’s value creation, the composition of boards and management and also follow-up on earnings.

About Christian Frigast
Frigast, who holds an MSc in Political Science and Economics from the University of Copenhagen and is a graduate of Stanford University’s Executive Management Program, has 40 years of management and board experience from prominent companies such as: Nordea Bank, Axcel, Royal Scandinavia, NetTest, Icopal and Pandora. In 1994, backed by institutional investors, Frigast founded Axcel, which evolved under his leadership from Denmark’s first private equity fund into one of Scandinavia’s leading private equity companies. In 2012 Axcelfuture was established with the aim of implementing research-based analyses and dialogue meetings on “Denmark as a future investment” with participants from research, industry and government.
