In 2012, Per Holten-Andersen took up the position as President of Denmark's leading business school. One of the most important things on the to-do list was to consolidate CBS' activities; a process that the President also has been fully committed to. The Board therefore found it obvious to ask Per Holten-Andersen if he was interested in renewing his contract.

- We are excited that Per Holten-Andersen wishes to continue as President. We are pleased with his contribution, we value our collaboration, and we appreciate that we are able to continue for the next three years, says Karsten Dybvad, Chairman of the Board.

Per Holten-Andersen is 63 years old. Before CBS, he was Dean at LIFE, the Faculty of Life Sciences at the University of Copenhagen, and before that, he was Rector of the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University for five years.

-  CBS plays an essential role in society. In addition, CBS is a dynamic workplace with committed and highly skilled students, faculty and staff. I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues in the Senior Management, the Board and the entire organisation in the next years. I will continue my work to facilitate CBS' contribution to a positive development in the Danish society and business community, says Per Holten-Andersen.

The Board has decided to renew Per Holten-Andersen's contract from 15 January 2017 to 14 January 2020. The representative of the almost 23,000 students at CBS is pleased with the decision:

We appreciate Per. He recognises our position and knows the value of our efforts. And like us, he is struggling to improve CBS' financial situation. We really appreciate that. Per is obliging and listens to us - in other words; he is always ready to sit down and talk with us.  We are happy that Per stays at CBS and continues his efforts, says Daniel Skov Andersen, President for CBS Students.
