REVISITING GLOBAL LEADERSHIP – exploring what ”global” really means for global leadership!

A high quality in global leadership is key to seizing global business opportunities. But what does global in a leadership context actually really mean?

Thursday, November 24, 2016 - 14:00 to 17:00

Is global leadership different from local/domestic leadership? Indeed, is it at all different from leadership in general? Is global leadership one-sizefits all? Which managers should be included under the “global” umbrella?

The answers to these questions profoundly influence how leadership practice and development should be facilitated, performed and evaluated.

In this seminar we discuss these questions from a practitioner perspective with a point of departure in a recent study on global leadership practice in Danish MNCs.

At this event, you will learn about relevant profiles of ”The Glocal In-Betweener”, ”The Expat Classic Local Champion” and ”The Global Matrix Navigator” as portrayed in interviews with global managers operating in and outside Denmark from 25 Danish-based multinationals.

Also, participants will be presented with a globality profile of seven intra- organizational context factors framing global leadership practice and behaviours as well as benefit from the insights of 20 HR and leadership development professionals gathered in the study.

A practitioner panel representing both business, HR and external consulting will spark off a debate on the practical dilemmas and solutions of global leadership.
