Presentation

Thomaz is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Strategy and Innovation at Copenhagen Business School. Prior to joining CBS, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Harvard Business School, working on the Laboratory of Innovation Science at Harvard and as a Research Associate at the World Management Survey project.

His research focuses on how organizations and managers make decisions, deploy, and redeploy their human capital and knowledge resources to achieve superior performance. Thomaz is interested in studying contexts with high societal impact, such as the education sector, organizations with distinct governance forms (e.g., private, state-owned, and non-profits), and initiatives associated to the future of work.

His work has been published at the Harvard Business Review and at the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory. For his ongoing research, Thomaz has received multiple best paper recognitions at the SMS and the AOM Annual Conferences. In terms of service, he has received best reviewer recognitions at the SMS Annual Conference, and he is currently a member of the Member Engagement Committee of the STR division of the Academy of Management.
