Presentation

My research focuses on work, entrepreneurship, and hustling in filmmaking and other creative industries in Africa. My PhD research, at SOAS University of London, examined the work of female filmmakers in Nairobi, Kenya. My current postdoctoral work is part of the major research project 'Advancing Creative Industries for Development in Ghana' (ACIG).

While at the University of Sheffield, I studied data, diversity, and inequality. In particular, how members of the UK public think and feel about how their data is used and public opinion about what constitutes 'good' data management. This research was done in collaboration with the BBC.
