My academic and professional work is fully focused on ports. In my academic work, I aspire to develop insights on port development, policy, and management that are worth sharing. My work helps governments and port companies to make choices about port reform, investments in ports, port development projects, and transitioning ports to vital and sustainable business ecosystems. My focus is on developing ports in such a way that they create value for society. That often requires important transitions.
