Marcus M. Larsen, PhD, is Professor of Strategic and International Management at Copenhagen Business School (where he also obtained his PhD) and Adjunct Professor at BI Norwegian Business School.

His research focuses on the intersection of strategy, organizational theory and international business, focusing on offshoring and emerging economy multinationals. His research has been published in leading journals such as the Journal of International Business Studies, Organization Science, and Strategic Management Journal. His dissertation won the Peter J. Buckley and Mark Casson Dissertation Award (AIB) and the Barry M. Richman Best Dissertation Award (AoM) in 2014. He is associate editor of Global Strategy Journal and is currently leading the research project “Firm Formalization and Sustainable Development” (funded by the Independent Research Council Denmark).

He teaches students at all levels on issues relating to strategic management and international business and is the author of several teaching cases that are actively used around the world.
