I am par­tic­u­larly in­ter­ested in the ques­tion how to achieve mean­ing­ful re­form of (in­ter­na­tion­al) tax sys­tems.

My research focuses on the intersection of international and EU Law and other areas or research such as political science, political economy and legal philosophy. My research aims to help 

- policymakers to better design and implement tax policies that deliver their expected outcomes  

- to increase the legitimacy of international tax cooperation and to make the international tax system fairer and more robust.
