Researching governance as a force for sustainable business – caring for people and the planet

My research investigates how corporate governance mechanisms shape corporate behavior and their societal implications. With a background in Economics and Philosophy, I study governance as both a driver of firm performance and an institution affecting workers, stakeholders, and the environment.

One strand of my work focuses on worker participation and employee involvement in decision-making, including projects on employee-elected board members and their impact on firms’ internal labor markets, as well as a study of cooperation committees in the Danish labor market model and their role in conflict resolution, information sharing, and workplace well-being.

Another strand explores the governance implications of non-financial reporting, with projects examining its effectiveness in driving sustainable business practices and how multinational firms navigate fragmented international regulatory landscapes.
