A warm welcome to new faculty members and PhD students at the Department of Finance

Again in 2015, the Department of Finance has been able to attract new faculty members to strengthen the department’s research and teaching activities

The Department of Finance and Copenhagen Business School are very pleased to welcome three new faculty members and three new PhD students in Finance.

Björn Imbierowicz joins the department as assistant professor. Previously, Björn was assistant professor at Goethe University Frankfurt. Björn is an empirical finance researcher and specializes in financial intermediation, banking, risk management, and credit derivatives. Björn will be affiliated with the Center for Financial Frictions (FRIC).

Paul Whelan joins the department as assistant professor. Paul graduated in 2015 from Imperial College London. His research interests are in the areas of theoretical and empirical asset pricing with a specific focus in fixed income markets.

Steffen Andersen joins us as professor from the Department of Economics at Copenhagen Business School. His research interests include Household Finance, Behavioural Economics and Experimental Economics.

We also have the pleasure of welcoming three new PhD students. Frederik Regli joins the department with a stipend funded by CBS Maritime. Jonas Kragh will be affiliated with the Center for Financial Frictions (FRIC) and has received a stipend funded by FRIC. Julie Marx has already commenced her PhD studies at CBS and will now join the Department of Finance.
