PhD Programme in Technologies of Managing
Welcome to Our PhD Programme in Technologies of Managing
The objective of the PhD Programme at the Department of Operations Management is to support the PhD students' development as researchers within a Danish and international context.
The programme's research field is 'Technologies of Managing', which is an essential dimension in the department's research profile.
'Technologies of Managing' provides us with a theory on how to realise management. Management is inseparably related to insight, which, however, can only be achieved through different mechanisms making 'the world' available through representations. The objects that may become visible to management are created through such representations. Normally, the objects have two dimensions. One dimension deals with 'value' and 'evaluation', the other with 'scale'.
Our study programme is organized within the framework of 'Degree Regulations for The PhD Programme in Technologies of Managing'. The study programme is prepared in such a way that the PhD students will develop research based competence and methodological reflection in relation to both intra- and inter-organizational management technology. In addition, the students will learn to take a critical view of the programme's research field.
The PhD programme aims to create an active research environment focusing on interaction and reflection and to organize relevant courses, workshops, debates and supervision that pertains to the separate phases in the individual PHD students' studies.
