Gain insight into the consumer mind
It’s a scientifically proven fact that a hot cup of coffee makes you more generous than ice water. In an after-work seminar, Torsten Ringberg, professor of marketing, neuroscientist Thomas Ramsøy and Kyle Nel, director of Lowes Innovation Lab, will discuss how exactly the senses affect our thoughts and behaviour, as well as present the newest knowledge on consumer behaviour at “The Science of Marketing” after-work seminar..

Arla Foods presents its ambitious IT venture
One of the seven largest dairy companies worldwide, Arla Foods operates in 12 different countries. The company has invested heavily in IT in order to get closer to its customers and consumers. At this month’s CIO Talk, Arla Food’s top IT manager, Torben Fabrin, former head of Deloitte and Accenture, will talk about the company’s strategic IT work.

Barriers to public-private partnerships in Denmark
The number of public-private partnerships is on the rise, but occurring at a snail’s pace. Jointly with the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority, CBS’ Public-Private Platform is exposing barriers to partnerships. Results from an as yet unpublished report will be presented and an OECD expert in the field, Ian Hawkesworth, will talk about his recent experiences in an international context.

Is Denmark outperforming itself by outsourcing research to China?
The catchphrase has long been that Denmark’s survival depends on research and development. Activities of this nature, however, are increasingly being outsourced to countries with rapidly growing economies like China and Brazil, which can have profound consequences for the Danish economy. In cooperation with the CBS Centre for Business and Development Studies, CBS Competitiveness Platform invites to a debate with the director of the Confederation of Danish Industry, Lars Goldschmidt, the director of Novozymes, Lisbeth Bech, and the director of Vestas Technology, Anders Nyborg.

Maritime conference casts anchor at CBS
CBS is hosting the international conference “Maritime Risk and Risk Management”, organized in collaboration with the Maritime Development Center of Europe, or EMUC. Danish and foreign researchers, as well as a number of maritime companies like Maersk Maritime Technology and MAN Diesel & Turbo, will participate. The Danish minister of climate and energy Martin Lidegaard, will contribute with the government’s perspective on climate, the environment and energy in the maritime sector.
