2. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer or other device so it can be recognised. No personal data are stored in our cookies, and they cannot contain virus.

4. The purpose of cookies on our website
CBS uses cookies for the following purposes:
•    Technical functionality, so that we can remember your settings.
•    Measuring traffic, so that we know how many people visit our website and can document this to advertisers.

5. Addthis
Addthis sets cookies to:
•    Make it possible for the user to share a website on selected social media platforms, including Facebook and LinkedIn,

In addition, Addthis does the following:
•    Makes the user anonymous
•    Saves an anonymous identifier in order to be able to differentiate between visitors,
•    Checks the expiration date of other set cookies,
•    Checks where the user is coming from, when something is shared to Facebook and LinkedIn (location cookie).

CBS does not see the data that Addthis collects.

6. Google Analytics
Cookies from Google Analytics are used to measure traffic on the website.

Deselect cookies specifically from Google Analytics.

7. CBS.dk (Drupal Open Source CMS)
CBS.dk (Drupal Open Source CMS) sets cookies to:
•    Store information about whether the user has enabled JavaScript in their browser. The cookie makes sure the user does not get a blank page, or that information is still displayed correctly, even if JavaScript is not enabled. The purpose of this cookie is to provide a better user experience.

A cookie is also set, when a user accepts that CBS.dk uses cookies.

8. Why is Copenhagen Business School providing information on this?
Cookies are used to collect information on Internet user behaviour. Although this is most often done to give the user a better experience or out of technical necessity to use a solution, the user should be informed that the cookie is set and have the opportunity to avoid that it happens again.

All Danish websites are obligated to inform users which cookies are set on the end user's computer equipment. This information must be pursuant to the "Danish executive order on demands for information and consent in storing or access to information in computer equipment", which is part of an EU directive on the protection of privacy in electronic communications.

9. Use of personal data
Personal data will never be transferred to a third party without your express agreement to this. We do not collect personal data outside the information you provide us with in connection with registration, purchase or participation in a survey, etc. The information collected in this connection is name, address, postal code, email, gender, age, interests, views and knowledge of different subjects.

We use the personal data to get to know more about you and other users of the website.

10. Contact regarding personal data
If you want access to the information collected about you by CBS, please contact info@cbs.dk or telephone 38 15 20 25.  If the data registered is incorrect or if you have any other objections, you can also use the above contact information. In accordance with the Danish Act on Processing of Personal Data, section 31, you have a right to know what information is registered about you and that you may also object to a registration.

11. Protection of personal data
According to the Act on Processing of Personal Data your personal data must be stored in a safe and confidential manner. CBS is therefore obligated to protect all personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, and against loss or deterioration, and against being brought to the knowledge of unauthorised persons, being misused or otherwise being treated unlawfully.

In accordance with the Danish Act on Processing of Personal Data, section 5(5), personal data may not to be stored in a way that allows the registered person to be identifiable for a longer period than is necessary for the purposes for which the data are processed. The rapid development of the Internet means that changes in our processing of personal data may be necessary. We therefore reserve the right to update and modify these guidelines for the processing of personal data. If we do so, the "latest update" date at the bottom of the page will of course be revised. In case of significant changes we will notify you in the form of a visible message on our web pages.

To the extent that personal data about you are processed, you have the right according to the Act on Processing of Personal Data to be informed of which personal data can traced to you. If it turns out that the information or data about you which are processed are false or misleading, you have the right to require that such information is corrected, deleted or blocked. You may at any time object to the processing of information about you. You may also at any time withdraw your consent. You have the right to file a complaint about the processing of information and data relating to you. Complaints are submitted to the Danish Data Protection Agency, cf. the Act on Processing of Personal Data, section 58(1).
