Supply Chain Management

The SCM concentration provides you with the ability to understand, design, manage and control complex supply chains and networks across functional-, company-, and national borders. It is both strategic and operational in its approach to supply chain management.

Idéudvikling på CBS

We focus on managing product and information flows from raw material to end-user in complex, globally fragmented supply chains and networks in an effective and efficient way.
You will learn to analyse and design competitive supply chain strategies, manage performance and control in supply chains and networks and how to plan and model efficient material flows across borders. You will also learn how to make decisions on localisation in a global environment based on supply chain operations variables, how to organise and conduct sourcing and supply management in a global environment as well as designing the logistical flows of fast-moving consumer goods.
Career Opportunities
The SCM concentration leads to analytical jobs in e.g. consultancies and jobs with management responsibilities within functional areas of SCM, such as purchasing, logistics and planning. Importantly, you also develop excellent skills collaborating and managing across organisational and national borders.
This concentration is truly boundary spanning. With its point of departure in theory and “real life”, plus the combination of strategic and operational aspects, the SCM is useful from the day you graduate.
