Management of Creative Business Processes

The CBP is based on research carried out by CBS researchers, in particular the scientific staff affiliated to CBS centre imagine.. Creative Industries Research.
imagine.. conducts research within many sectors of the creative industries; film, music, computer games, fashion, design and so forth, and it is an example of the development and growth of a creative industries research environment at the CBS. Within recent years, the CBS has established a research centre, started a number of new research projects and educated PhD students within the creative industries.

Research Base

imagine.. Creative Industries Research Centre is a research centre with a staff of approx. 20 researchers, conducting research into the organisation of creativity in firms, projects and networks. It is multidisciplinary in its approach and focuses on the on-going relation between creativity and commerce. Members disseminate their research findings to businesses and society at large by means of scholarly publications, media, workshops and other presentations. Every semester there is a number of seminars which students are of course invited to attend.

Two research projects

“Creativity, Competence and Competitiveness in the Danish experience economy” is a research project, the first of its kind in Denmark, analysing the Danish experience economy with the purpose of assisting future economic performance. The research project includes the development of both qualitative and quantitative definitions of experience economy, a systematic mapping of the Danish creative industries, exploration of the barriers to growth as well as future potential, and the development of new managerial practices in the creative industries. This project started in the fall of 2005 and will run for three years.
“CINEMA - Organizing and Managing Creative Enterprises” is a research project concerned with the study of the film industry and film making, studying how innovative, high profile film makers organise, manage and combine creativity with commercial interests. It is done in collaboration with Danish film companies Zentropa and Nordisk Film.
