MSc in Business, Language and Culture
This concentration prepares you to manage cultural complexity and organisational dynamics with a focus on the global challenges of international business and their implication for management practice. You develop cultural competences and proficiency in English and a second foreign language.
The practice of effective leadership in any context requires the management of multiple relationships, transactions, and even conflicts with a variety of different parties.
In the LMS concentration, you develop an understanding of the theory of practice of leadership and management in complex organisations as well as project management skills. You acquire the insights needed to lead and manage effectively in overlapping cultural contexts. The concentration provides you with a practical and relational understanding of cultures as strategic and symbolic resources that you can mobilise to your own advantage and to the advantage of the organisations you lead.

Most LMS courses are taught in English. Other courses, taught in the relevant target language, explore business cases and broader issues relevant to the practice of leadership and management in a variety of cultural contexts, and help to develop proficiency in Chinese, French, German, Japanese or Spanish.
