The International Business concentration introduces the conceptual frameworks and practical methodologies that are used to make sense of the interaction between company strategies and economic and development policies in a rapidly globalising world.
Multinational corporations are the centrepiece of the concentration. As a result, you will learn to examine the strategic choices that multinational corporations make in order to compete in an increasingly global economy. At the same time, close attention is paid to the development and policy challenges multinational corporations create in an interdependent world, both from the perspective of developing and developed countries.
This requires an overall view of the international business environment in terms of seeing the larger picture regarding the competitive and investment milieus determined by the policies and regulations established by governments and supranational institutions.
