The skilful business economist

Any firm is embedded in an economic environment that it needs to understand. The common theme of the concentration is economic incentives and organisation governing the firm and its market and non market behaviour. Taking the firm as its starting point, the concentration provides a strong analytical background in the core areas:
  • corporate and international finance
  • firms in a global environment
  • corporate governance
  • industrial economics.
You learn to understand and forecast relevant financial and economic variables important for modern companies. In addition, you learn to apply theoretical models in finance, firm theory and industrial economics to solve practical problems. Moreover, we emphasise the importance of frank communication regarding insights and results.
