GLOBE – or Global Learning Opportunities in Business Education – is a pioneering international undergraduate business education
Copenhagen Business School, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina are offering a unique, global business curriculum to prepare undergraduate students for a future career as global managers.
GLOBE offers a curriculum, which has been designed by faculties on three continents. 15 students from each partner university form a class of 45 students in a structured, focused 12 months of study and travel. The students travel as a class, acting both as hosts and visitors.
The programme begins in the second year of the International Business programme in Copenhagen (the fall semester), moving on to Hong Kong in the spring semester and on to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in the fall semester. Afterward, students return to their own universities.
By studying at each of the three partner campuses, students learn more about business and academic life in Europe, Asia and North America; they are exposed to different cultural settings; and they develop their global mindset. Each school offers classes that reflect upon particular strengths in various aspects of business:
- CBS: Corporate response to EU integration
- CUHK: Asian business and marketing
- UNC: New entrepreneurial ventures and global capital markets.

GLOBE equips the students with a strong professional knowledge, a distinct global business sense, and a unique cultural fluency - making them attractive facilitators of globalisation in the increasingly dynamic world economy. Additionally, through the GLOBE experience, the students will build long-lasting friendships and powerful international business connections.
