The seminar intends to give participants an introduction to the field of Management Studies, and aims to help Ph.D-students to cope with this very complex and fragmented field. We shortly discuss the history of the field and compare it with other types of scientific fields. Then we discuss where Ph.D-students can make contributions to a field where there are so many different theories, methods and criteria for evaluating research.
