WHY WAIT? An exploration of first-mover advantages among Danish e-grocers through a resource perspective
Mads Vangkilde
First-mover advantages
The PhD thesis is examining first-mover advantages in the e-grocery sector and to what extent such advantages can be sustained. Specifically four Danish firms selling fruit and vegetables online have been studied and the results point to whether the first-mover among these can sustain its advantages and how this can be done.

Labour Demand
Christian Scheuer
My research is primary centred on two projects: As part of the CEBR project The Future Demand for Educated Labour in I work with my adviser, Professor Anders Sørensen and Professor Michael Rosholm on analysing the consequences of international trade on labour Demand in Denmark. Furthermore, with Daniel le Maire I am currently analysing positive assortative matching: that is whether and how particular productive workers meet particular productive firms in the labour market.

Essays on Private Equity
Frederik Vinten
Title of thesis: Essays on Private Equity.
- Examining explanations of the latter going private and the impact from private equity buyout fund ownership on portfolio firm performance.
This thesis studies aspects of the latter buyout activity using data from Europe and Denmark. Firstly, it is studied how the operational performance of Danish buyout firms are affected by private equity fund ownership. Furthermore, it is tested using European data whether increased corporate governance regulation or stock market fluctuations has affected a firm’s likelihood of going private, i.e. becoming de-listed from a European stock exchange due to a going private transaction.
