Economics and Management

The aim of the Doctoral School of Economics and Management is to create an active national and international research environment at CBS for research degree students, who:
Deal with economics and management at business, industry and country level in a theoretical and empirical manner.
The theoretical basis is micro and macroeconomics, industrial economics, organisational economics and psychology. The doctoral school attaches great importance to:

  • ensuring an adequate and relevant choice of courses within state-of-the-art research in economics and management and giving the research degree students access to education within a broad range of social science methods
  • ensuring a high academic level of the Ph.D. programmes through continuous q uality assurance and improvement
  • creating an academic and financial opportunity for the enrolled research degree students to present their projects at international conferences and in international journals and sending them abroad to present their work in foreign research environments
  • attracting international world-class researchers to the activities of the doctoral school such as courses, work-in-progress seminars, supervision of the enrolled research degree students and assessment of the Ph.D. theses
  • establishing institutionalised cooperative agreements with international researchers and research environments.
Management and organisation of the doctoral school
The Doctoral School of Economics and Management is linked with active academic environments at Department of Strategic Management and Globalization (SMG), the Department of Marketing (MARKETING), Finance (FI), Innovation and Organizational Economics (INO), the Department of Economics (ECON), and International Economics and Management (INT).
