Doctoral School of Organisation and Management Studies
The aim of the Doctoral School of Organisation and Management Studies (OMS) is to create an active national and international research environment at CBS for research degree students, who deal with organisation and management in private, public and voluntary organisations in a theoretical and empirical manner.
The theoretical basis is interdisciplinary and builds on sociology, social psychology, political science, political economy, philosophy, communication, history, ethnography and cultural studies of organisational and management practice. The doctoral school attaches great importance to:
· ensuring an adequate and relevant selection of courses within state-of-the-art research in organisation and management and giving the research degree students access to education within a broad range of social science methods
· ensuring a high academic level of the PhD programmes through continuous quality assurance and improvement
· creating an academic and financial opportunity for the enrolled research degree students to present their projects at international conferences and in international journals and sending them abroad to present their work in foreign research environments
· attracting international world-class researchers to the activities of the doctoral school e.g. courses, work-in-progress seminars, supervision of the enrolled research degree students and assessment of the PhD theses
· establishing institutionalised cooperative agreements with international researchers and research environments.
