Doctoral Workshop May 31
The Doctoral Workshop on Research in Management Consulting runs from 12:00 noon – 4:30 pm, on Thursday, May 31, 2007 as part of the 3rd International Conference on Management Consulting. The workshop will start out with a lunch at the Wedge (Kilen).
The workshop is open for all doctoral candidates and researchers who plan to start up research on management consulting.
Bringing together a number of scholars, practitioners, and doctoral candidates that consider or have embarked on the exciting journey of a dissertation within the field of consultancy, the workshop aims at:
  • establishing a research community among doctoral candidates so that they can interact and share objectives, challenges, concerns and solutions
  • positioning the work of the candidates within a European / global research agenda, and expose them to various research traditions and orientations, open their minds to the international/global perspectives to be adopted when engaging in research in management consulting
  • sharing valuable insight and in-depth knowledge with participants on the various approaches, techniques, methodologies, etc., that can be used to conduct research in management consulting
  • helping candidates prepare for the academic and consulting industry markets
  • discussing how to get research on consulting published
  • serving as a forum for answering questions from candidates and providing them with information, advice, and support where applicable
Doctoral candidates are required to send a one page outline of their research or potential research as well as indicate what specific issues they would like to be addressed during the workshop (on a separate page or as a separate document), along with a copy of their CV to the coordinator of the workshop Kathrine Høeg ( mcd2007@cbs.dk) by May 15, 2007 at the latest.
