Anthony P. D'Costa is a Professor in Indian Studies and Research Director at the Asia Research Centre, Copenhagen Business School. Prior to this appointment in 2008 he was with the University of Washington for eighteen years.
Using industry studies he researches the dynamics of global and national economies, especially India and Asia. He has written extensively on global steel, Indian automobile and IT industries, globalization, development, innovations, and industrial restructuring.
Of his six books, his most recent ones are" A New India? Critical Reflections in the Long Twentieth Century" (edited 2010) and "The New Asian Innovation Dynamics: China and India in Perspective" (coedited, 2009). He is currently working on three volumes on Globalization and Economic Nationlaism in Asia, Economic and Social Transformation of China and India, and Global Capitalism and the Mobility Technical Talent.
Anthony D'Costa has been a fellow of the Japan Foundation, American Institute of Indian Studies, Fulbright-Hays, Korea Foundation, Social Science Research Council, NY, and UN University's WIDER in Helsinki and has conducted commissioned projects for the ILO, World Bank, and WIDER.
He served on the Board of Trustees the American Institute of Indian Studies and currently serves on the International Advisory Board of India-US World Affairs Institute, Washington DC.
