Outline of the presentation:

IT professionals are of course aware that the organizational implementation of Information Systems and Information Technology does not happen by itself. Open Source Software based IT is no exception here.

Its organizational implementation has to be planned and carried out purposefully. However IT professionals also love to forget the importance of organizational implementation after the technology has been developed and/or acquired and then wonder why the introduction of new IT becomes such a failure.

The presentation will bring some of the known perils and pitfalls of organizational implementation back to memory and point to some actions which can avoid failure and lead to successful organizational implementation of IT.
