Centre for the Study of Europe

The Centre for the Study of Europe (CEF) was officially inaugurated on 17 September 2004. An inaugural lecture by adjunct professor, Ambassador Poul Skytte Christoffersen, marked the opening. The centre constitutes an organisational frame for the research carried out at the Department of International Culture and Communication Studies, CBS, in connection with the study programs in European Studies.

One of the most important tasks of the Center is to convey knowledge about Europe, partly through the website and newsletter, but also via debating current issues in the media, conferences and publications. The center hosts both in-house meetings and presentations at CBS as well as international workshops and conferences. Furthermore, the center organizes international PhD courses and summerschool activities.
