Central areas of research in recent years:

Knowledge management issues under high levels of uncertainty in various types of knowledge based firms. Innovation management along with research management and knowledge sharing are focus areas in my research. Management and understanding of cooperation in networks of complex projects means that project management as negotiated management and as action in networks and as interplay with self managed knowledge workers become central objects of research. My empirical data are from research- and IT-firms. I am the initiator of the Danish research programme: Research management Processes under rapid change (REMAP) in cooperation with The Danish Institute for Studies in Research and Research Policy, RISØ and 6 research based firms, to this research programme I have contributed with my own research project about management in IT companies financed by the CBS research centre LOK (Ledelse, Organisation og Kompetence: ‘Management, Organisation and Competency’) 1999-2003
’High tech firms and networks’ – A project concerning different types of network strategies and management of innovation by small high-tech firms. The empirical data stem from Silicon Valley in 1993 in 1994, from Sophia Antipolis (France) and Copenhagen 1994-1998
