The background for my industrial PhD Program is the growing number of people with mental health problems on sickness benefit or on disability pension and the lack of knowledge on the topic from the business point of view. How can more people with mental health problems be included in the labour market? My PhD is cooperation between a private psychiatric clinic (PPclinic) and LPF. I am interested in examining the relation between an employer and an employee with mental health problems.
Further I will discuss how Axel Honneth’s theory of recognition can be used in order to come to an understanding of the inhibitory and alienating efforts at companies when it comes to including and keeping people with mental health problems in the company. For this achievement I will also do some empirical research at different companies.
Primary research areas
- Personer med psykiske helbredsproblemers arbejdsmarkedstilknytning
- Relationen mellem en leder og en person med et psykisk helbredsproblem
- Axel Honneths anerkendelsesteori
- Selvledelse som udelukkelsesproces
