The aim of the Department of Finance (FI) is to produce financial research, teaching and communication of international standard and relevance for Danish society.
The Department deals with a wide variety of financial issues. The Department focuses on the following areas:

  • Asset Pricing in financial markets
  • Financial restructuring
  • Optimal incentive structures as well as organisational design based on incentive considerations
  • Alternative forms of ownership
  • Corporate governance and the market for corporate control
  • International finance and international financial markets
  • Portfolio theory and asset allocation
  • Risk management and insurance
  • Household financial decisions
  • Pension economics
  • Financial regulation and the legal regulation of financial conditions
