Law Department

The Law Department provides research and teaching at Copenhagen Business School within the field of Business Law.
Founded in the international and national legal framework for businesses in a globalised world, the Department’s research focuses on Business Law from a societal and commercial perspective. Consequently, the research concentrates on the content of and interplay between International Law, EU Law and National Law.
The research covers three areas:
  • Commerce and Transactions (contracts and financing etc.),
  • The Market (international Commercial Law and EU Internal Market Law etc.), and
  • Corporate Organisation and Social Responsibility (Company and Tax Law etc.)
The Law Department gives priority to appointing Danish and foreign researchers who individually or collaboratively can contribute significantly to one or more of the Department’s key research and teaching areas and to the development and use of case studies.
The work environment at the Department is accommodating and inspiring with emphasis on academic and social values. The researchers have flexible work conditions and good opportunities for supplementary training. The Department is situated at modern premises on the 5th floor of CBS’ main building, Solbjerg Plads, overlooking Frederiksberg.
