Rules of the game

An attempt is made at having one seminar each week on Mondays at 13:00-14:00. The seminar lasts 60 minutes, including questions and discussions. The seminar room will be available for further discussions after the seminar.
An attempt is made at letting seminars alternate between external and internal speakers.
Internal speakers may present work in progress; this should be where the department's research is presented for the first time.
External speakers should present work that is of sufficient interest to gather an audience of at least four department members. Abstract and papers should be available at the latest one week before the seminar.
We have a limited budget to cover travel and accomodation expenditures.
In general, we attempt to invite people that are in Denmark already, e.g. visiting EPRU, CIE, the Universities of Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense etc.
If a department member would like to invite an external, it is expected that the same department member presents his or her own research sometime during that academic year.
Invitations to external speakers should be extended by, or agreed with, the organiser: Morten Bennedsen.
If you have arranged an external speaker, you are expected to: 1) be present at the seminar, and 2) participate in and arrange the social events (e.g. beer or dinner after the seminar).
There are no rules without exceptions, but exceptions should be negotiated with the organiser.
