Britta Gammelgaard is professor of logistics and supply chain management (SCM). Her research interests are strategy, innovation and learning in supply chains. The development of supply chain management as a scientific discipline is furthermore a highly prioritized research area.
Gammelgaard´s publications can be found in Danish as well as international journals such as Ledelse & Erhvervsøkonomi, Journal of Business Logistics and International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management. She is a member of the Editorial Boards of Journal of Business Logistics, Journal of Supply Chain Management and the International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management. In addition, she serves as ad-hoc reviewer for several scientific journals within the field of SCM.
Gammelgaard has been and is guest editor of the leading scientific journals, Journal of Business Logistics and International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management. She is active in the international research networks, NOFOMA (Nordic Logistics Research Network) and CSCMP (Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals), where her special area of interest and contribution is doctoral education within SCM. The CSCMP European Research Seminar taking place for the fifth time in 2010 has been established on her initiative.
Gammelgaard is CBS´s representative at the Board of Oresund Logistics (Oresund Science Region) and is member of the Advisory Board of UNOPS.
In 2009 Britta Gammelgaard received Hedorfs Fonds Transportforskningspris (Danish transport research award) and the 2009 Bernard J. La Londe Best Paper Award, for best paper in Journal of Business Logistics 2008.
