Degree Programmes
The Department of Operations Management contributes with both teachers and course supervision to most undergraduate, graduate and master’s programmes at CBS’ Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
The department’s courses cover its academic disciplines:
- Business economics
- Management accounting
- Supply chain management
- Operations management.
The department is in charge of course coordination and administration of two MSc specialisations and two Graduate Diploma in Business Administration part II (HD) lines of specialisation:
- MSc in Supply Chain Management
- MSc in Management Accounting
- HD in Supply Chain Management
- HD in Management Accounting and Process Management.
In addition, the department is in charge of teaching at a number of other CBS study programmes:
- Business Economics in the following programmes:
- BSc in Economics and Business Administration, BSc in Business Administration and Computer Science, and HD part I
- MSc specialisations in MIB, IMM and DCM
- Master’s programmes and MBA.

How does management happen in organizations: The use of management technologies
The research of John K. Christiansen focuses on management of development and innovation activities in ambigious and labile organizational contexts. He is interested in opening up the black box of innovation and project management and wants to study and understand the dynamics of the micro-processes - and relate these to strategic processes, choices and concerns.
The focus is on mechanisms, management tools and models that shape decision making and organizational processes.
