About the Department
Staff and Location
The department has approximately 22 permanent members of faculty, ten PhD students, ten administrative staff members and a fluctuating number of visiting researchers and research assistants.
The Centre for Business Development and Management (CVL) numbers approximately 30 staff members. Organisationally, the centre belongs under the department, but physically it is located at Howitzvej 11-13, second floor, DK - 2000 Frederiksberg.
The department is located in the CBS building at Solbjerg Plads 3, section B, 5. floor, DK 2000 Frederiksberg.

How does management happen in organizations: The use of management technologies
The research of John K. Christiansen focuses on management of development and innovation activities in ambigious and labile organizational contexts. He is interested in opening up the black box of innovation and project management and wants to study and understand the dynamics of the micro-processes - and relate these to strategic processes, choices and concerns.
The focus is on mechanisms, management tools and models that shape decision making and organizational processes.
