Translation and Translation Technology
The aim of the Translation and Translation Technology research group is to explore translation and interpreting processes in companies and organisations and develop methods and technologies to support these processes. The research group is particularly focused on exploring translation processes by means of keystroke-logging and eyetracking and on developing gaze-based support tools. Focus is also on the integration of existing technologies in the translation process (e.g. machine supported/ fully automated translation, speech recognition/speech synthesis) and on the new forms of cooperation which develop, as translation becomes a global 24/7 activity driven by information technology.
