Research Groups

ISV researchers are reorganised into four groups in order to support the future research development of the Department. The focus areas are emphasised and further elaborated in the description of each research group below. The groups are united in their orientation towards language processes in businesses and organisations, the people that organise and conduct the processes, and the technology and tools that support them.
In addition, a number of researchers work on individual research products within the field of linguistic studies.
The Department of International Language Studies and Computational Linguistics has two associate centres:
  • CRITT (the Center for Research and Innovation in Translation and Translation Technology)
The main purpose of the research conducted at CRITT is to build up new knowledge about translation, interpretation and other communicational processes across languages and cultures, as well as to contribute to the development of new technologies, which are developedin order to explore and support such inter-linguistic dissemination processes.
Director of the Center: Professor Arnt Lykke Jakobsen. For more information about CRITT, please visit the webpage: http://uk.cbs.dk/forskning_viden/institutter_centre/institutter/critt
  • DANTERM is a revenue-funded company under CBS, functioning as Denmark’s national terminology centre. Among the Centre’s activities are the development of the terminology and knowledge management tool i-Term, and close cooperation with the private sector and public institutions in the clarification of concepts in connection with the construction of IT-solutions and professional communication.
Director of the Centre: Professor Bodil Nistrup Madsen
