Research Profile

In our research we seek to identify and understand changes in working and business life. We focus on processes rather than on structure, on relations and interaction among actors rather than on the individual actor, and on the informal practices that emerge simultaneously with the division of tasks.

We aim to explore issues of business economic significance and to develop understandings of these and contribute to resolve practical problems. We are currently doing research within issues such as:
  • Organisational and managerial strategies in multinational companies
  • The interplay between technology, market, and organisations
  • Development of corporate environmental governance
  • Knowledge- and competence development
  • Management and organising in the building sector, in creative industries, and in the healthcare sector
  • Institutionalisation of communication processes
  • Narrativity and identity.
We strongly emphasise theoretical openness, empirical studies rooted in practice, and novel methodological approaches.
