My main teaching obligation is supervision (master thesis, as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd year projects at bachelor level) and guest lecturing. Until 2001 I taught at graduate level within international business and development theory. I am a free lance teacher at LO-Skolen and practice personal coaching.
My research deals with the conditions and role of social entrepreneurship and social innovation in social and economic development; in relation to public and private social services, as well as ‘local empowerment strategies’ as a consequence of the globalised economies. I have a long experience of research on economic organizations of civil society, the social economy. In particular the dynamics between social and economic values in these types of organizations and enterprises. One theme has been ‘leading and learning cultures’ in cooperatives within agriculture and industry. I have done field studies in various countries: Argentina, France, Spain, Venezuela, USA, as well as Denmark, using mainly a case-study and action research approach.
