In my research I use critical management studies as a lense through which to take a close look at corporate ethics.
I explore CSR in a Vietnamese business context and suggest that it is essentially a form of organizational control or identity regulation. CSR can be positioned as both colonial domination and an empowering mechanism at the same time, but in either case it has identity implications for organizations and their members to implement new routines and ways of talking about work.
