For some years I have worked and especially thought filmdramaturgy, scriptwriting and art direction for movies. Now I am combining these arias in a PhD- project entitled Visual Experience Design – on design for visual fictions. The study is mainly examining ascetic and problems regarding cooperation’s in creative work. The project will therefore consist of both a study of the tradition of visual design for moving images, its aesthetics and its operational methods. The empirical basis for this is partly the continued cooperation between The School of Danish Design department for Production Design, The Danish Film Schools education for film producers and screenwriters and the Denmark Radios department for television drama (DR, TV-DRAMA) and partly studies of ongoing film productions mainly in Denmark. Visual design for television series will act as a recurrent example in the project, though it will touch on all narrative screen based media such as movies and computer games.
