My research focusses on how efficient team work and team spirit can be established in teams that are geographically and culturally detached.
My research project has specific focus on cooperation between Indian vendors and subsidiaries and counterparts in Northern Europe.
I am a part of the 'Next Generation Global Software Delivery project (NexGSD)', which is a project spanning CBS, The IT University of Copenhagen (ITU) and Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore (IIM-B) where I am researching how trust is created and sustained in geographically dispersed and culturally diverse teams and how factors such as processes; organizational design; cultural intelligence; control mechanisms; and maturity in virtual communication using collaboration software affects the ability to work efficiently in dispersed teams.
Primary research areas
- Cross-Cultural Management and Communication
- Culture Theory and Culture Analysis
- Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW)
