New publication:
Mechanisms of OECD Governance. International Incentives for National Policy-Making? Edited by Kerstin Martens and Anja P. Jakobi, Oxford University Press, 2010. It is the first comprehensive and systematic analysis of OECD activities in a range of policy areas including economic governance, taxation, finance, corruption and money laundering, education, health care, family policy, and more.
Morten Ougaard contributed the chapter “The OECD’s Global Role: Agenda Setting and Policy Diffusion”. It analyses the OECD’s role in the larger context of global governance and pays among other things attention to the organization’s growing relationship with emerging economies and other non-member countries.
