Big success for the students and the co-operation between CBS, communication industry and business world
A team from the M.SC. program in Business Administration and Organizational Communication at CBS won the first ComCaseCompetition. The jury concluded that the winning team had prepared a very original and creative idea, and was able to operationalize this idea in a concise communication strategy and a distinct action plan.
Allan Gaarde from the winning team evaluated the 2 days competition as ”a intensive, but very exiting process. At certain moments during the competition we didn’t know, if we would make it, but we got a fantastic impression of the opportunities in the industry on the long run - and perhaps a certain amount of self-confidence about our professional skills.”
The international and interdisciplinary jury was very satisfied too. ”We are impresses by the high level at the CaseCompetition. It was impressing how many good and very different proposals and solutions the students came up with”, states Professor Timothy Clark (Durham University, UK) spokesperson and head of the jury.
Last, but not least, the organizing committee of the ComCaseCompetition (Karl-Heinz Pogner, CBS, DICM; Anders Rendtorff; Coloplast; Linda Kirkebæk and Lisbeth Eckhardt-Hansen from the Danish Association of Communication Professionals) were proud of the results of their joint venture. ”It has been fun and very giving to bring together business, communication industry, practitioners and researchers for this event. And look: it works, especially when we co-operate and collaborate to establish an event, where the students can display their competencies and skills”, concludes Karl-Heinz Pogner, DICM’s anchorman for the project and one of the initiators of CCC ’11.
