Guðrið Weihe's primary research area is public private cooperation, public-private partnerships (PPP), performance management and public management more broadly. Her doctorate work addressed management challenges in implemented PPP projects. The key aim of the PhD project was to identify the multiple meanings of PPP and to provide a new understanding of how participants within PPPs develop relationships once contracts have been signed. Theoretical inspiration came from strategic alliance research, institutional theory and recent theories on public management and governance. Currently she works on a research project on tax policies in micro-states. Since completion of her PhD thesis, Guðrið Weihe has been employed by the consultancy COWI where she works in the Economics and Management division.
