302: Mandarin Chinese Intermediate Level

For those who have learned basic Chinese in a variety of settings and are interested in developing their Chinese abilities through the study of language structure, language function, and related cultural knowledge along with the training of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

You can take Level 4 or Level 5 of the HSK test ("Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi" in Chinese, a standard Chinese proficiency test for non-native speakers) to find out your level of Chinese language before the course begins.

The test is not compulsory, and you do not need to choose your course on the basis of the test result. The test is available online:

Please contact the teacher of this course to create a valid test ID and password for you.

This course is student-centered and well-compiled, in which language structures, functions and information about culture frequently reoccur. It emphasizes functional teaching and covers a variety of contents. Using units to arrange lessons makes it easy to differentiate major and supplementary contents. This arrangement also makes it easy for students to choose materials according to their needs.
