Copenhagen Business Confucius Institute

— Building Bridge between China and Denmark

Copenhagen Business Confucius Institute was established in collaboration with Renmin University of China and Copenhagen Business School, with the sponsorship and authorisation of Hanban, the Office of Chinese Language Council International, under the Ministry of Education, China.

The mission of CI is to offer academic Chinese courses, Chinese business courses, public lectures, seminars and conferences on Chinese studies, Chinese culture and Chinese language. CI at CBS also aims to help develop effective Sino-Danish business and arrange language trips to anyone who has a general interest in China.

Key Objectives:

To help develop effective Sino-Danish business, cultural and academic links
To offer an extensive programme of Business Chinese, Chinese language courses at different levels
Support teachers of Chinese language and Chinese teachers in Denmark
Contribute to Chinese cultural awareness and activities in Denmark
Provide cross-cultural communication seminars and workshops for the business communities and universities
Forge strategic alliances with key stake-holders in business, industry, government and other institutions
Develop and promote Chinese Studies and Research in Denmark.

Activities:

Provide Chinese language courses at different levels
Provide Chinese culture courses
Provide Chinese language teachers' training courses
Conduct Chinese language Proficiency Test (HSK), Youth Chinese Test (YCT) & Business Chinese Test (BCT)
Provide Chinese language teaching resource assistance and information services
Organise lectures, seminars, and workshops on Chinese culture, philosophy and society
Arrange Chinese Corner/Salon
Conduct and assist research in Chinese studies.
