Visiting Fulbright Chair in American Studies at CSA 2008-2009
After saying goodbye to Professor Richard Millett, the Center now welcomes new Fullbright Professor Raymond J. Haberski Jr.
Ray is specialized within the following areas:
- U.S. Cultural and intellectual history,
- U.S. Movie culture, U.S. Religion and society,
- U.S. Religion and political ideologies,
- current trends in U.S. culture, and
- society and politics.
Ray will be part of the Center of the Study of the Americas until June 2009.
In November 2008 Ray held a lecture and discussion about offending in the movies: Shoot the messenger . The lecture was based on his latest book The miracle case: Film censorship and the Supreme Court.
