Center for Applied ICT works with design, implementation and impacts of ICT. The research is based on the externally founded projects, where focus is on themes such as Business IT, Digital Customs Systems, Business Models for Mobile Services, Digital Government, e-Participation and e-Inclusion.
Center for Applied ICT has had a terrific start with a project portfolio which combined can accumulate a budget of DKK 70 million of which 20 million has been given to the center as grants.
Among our global and national partners are Microsoft, IBM, SAP, ARLA, Heineken, United Paper Mill of Finland, Mahindra & Mahindra of India, Denmark’s Radio, Børsen Daily and the Danish Consumer Council.
“Today the cooperation between the corporate world and scientific research is either really relaxed or quite formal in the form of close cooperation in development projects. CAICT wishes, via partnerships, to explore the area in between with long lasting and mutual advantages for the center and the corporate world. This praxis is well known in the US, where research centers often are cooperating with 20 to 50 organizations, which grants access to researchers and the latest research results within ICT.
